Visitors – what to expect As a growing church we are always delighted
to welcome visitors. We believe that it
is easier to receive from God when we are relaxed and comfortable and so if
you are visiting us, we will do all we can to make you feel at ease as
quickly as possible. This starts right
here by telling you a little of what you can expect on your first visit. Our Sunday meetings take place at The Bournemouth Deaf Centre. They start at 10.30am and most people
arrive from approx 10.15am. There is
ample free parking available on the adjacent streets. On arrival, you will be met at the door by
our Welcome Team, who will give you a warm welcome and make sure that you are
well looked after. We understand that
visiting a new church for the first time can be a daunting experience,
especially if it is a little while since you have been to a church service,
and so we like to do all we can to make you feel ‘at home’. We understand that most people like to
‘find their feet’ slowly and so don’t worry, no one is going to ask you to
stand up or come out to the front or do anything that would make you feel
uncomfortable in any way. You will be
able to get involved as much or as little, as slowly or as fast as you
choose. What happens on a Sunday does vary from
week to week and does depend on whether you have come to a Fully Loaded or an XPress. However, there is usually a time of worship
with the children at the beginning before the children ‘head off’ to their
own group, Xtreme!
Worship usually continues as we meet with God and allow Him to meet
with us. Practical biblical teaching
follows to enable us to live out our faith 24/7. Afterwards there is
an opportunity to stay and chat over tea and coffee (or in the case of the
XPress, lunch). Alternatively, if you
need to get away early you can. You
are free to stay for as little or as much as you choose. |
